I don’t think I’d like that at all. It’s so public and so incredibly cheesy. And it kind of makes you feel obligated to say yes since you’re in such a public setting. Then there’s the idea that some workers at an ice rink know about it before you do. It’s just… odd. I’d much rather something more private and not so.. bold.

What happens if the person you’re proposing to says no? Then you’re out a bunch of money and publicly humiliated to boot. I know I’d laugh my arse off watching someone get rejected like that. It’s not funny that the love of their life turns them down no, that’s horrid, but it is funny that it happened the way it did. Then again, I’m a cruel person in general.

@ Janelle – The rink will announce to the skaters to exit that the session is over… it would have to be up to the guy to convince her to “wait”…….

Oh my gosh, this is such a cute idea. We’ve been talking about tying the knot for a few months and eyeing an engagement ring for awhile now.

So hopefully my fiance gets the hint and buys me a gorgeous diamond engagement ring from http://www.idonowidont.com and somehow get him to have a romantic new york engagement and maybe he’ll surprise me with this amazing proposal on ice!
