Hello and thanks for visiting Destination Weddings 101! When this site was first created, we featured a webring that showcased a great collection of personal destination wedding-related websites and homepages. Over time, the internet has changed - and so have we!

We still have several links, book and magazine titles, and articles to help you with the research and planning of your own wedding.

What is a destination wedding? It’s a wedding that you have to travel to — and some destination weddings also include guests. Years ago, couples would go off by themselves and elope, but now? Couples bring their families and friends along for the adventure! Destination weddings aren’t limited to people that are eloping anymore.

Common destination wedding sites are Walt Disney World, Europe, Las Vegas, Hawaii, New Orleans, Mexico, Canada, the Poconos, Colorado, and the Caribbean…just to name a few. Cruise weddings are also popular!
