Wholly Matrimony was originally created in 1998 by Robyn Pollman in conjunction with the creation of a variety of wedding related webrings. As the site grew, features such as the 15 Minutes of Fame, Destination Wedding of the Month, Dress of the Month, and the Annual Dress Contest were added.

The site has been featured in a variety of publications over the past 10 years.

In the summer of 2008, not long after Robyn & Todd’s 12 year wedding anniversary, Christine Tremoulet approached Robyn regarding taking over the site. Christine and Robyn first met thanks to blogging in 2001, and Christine was a judge in the 2001 and 2002 Dress Contest. Both of their lives have changed over the years greatly since they first met - Robyn has two sons now, Christine is married again, and both have successful photography businesses, Robyn’s focused on newborns and families and Christine’s focused on destination wedding and boudoir photography.

It seemed to be a natural transition and a perfect fit for Christine to take over maintaining the site.

Effective July 2, 2008, management has changed hands, and Christine is in the process of moving content into WordPress for easy site management. Meanwhile, new posts will be written and the site will transition from a static information site to a more dynamic blog.
