While browsing blogs this morning, I spotted a post at Aisle Be Your Guru with the most adorable jewelry made by Kathryn Riechert! Aren’t these pieces just charming? And so affordable! Get yourself some diamond earrings, or have a custom ring or necklace made for your sweetheart! I just love them all!

Tas prepared for Mendhi Vancouver Wedding Photography

Mendhi Celebration photographed by Kristel Wyman

Kristel Wyman’s work always blows me away, but I have to admit that when I saw her photos from Tas & Diraj’s wedding, I was left gasping. They are truly, in every sense of the word, breathtaking. This post is very heavy with images, but can you really blame me? One of my all time favorite photographs is down at the very end.

Their wedding was a three day Indian wedding event in Vancouver, British Columbia. It started with a Mendhi Ceremony on the first day.

On the day of their wedding ceremony at the Mosque, Tas & Diraj made a point of having a lot of time set aside for portraits. Having a lot of creative, more editorial photographs was very important to them, and so they spent a lot of time planning with Kristel. Communicating what you want to your photographer is *so* essential! They will have great tips and advice to help you make the most of the day.

The third day of the wedding celebration was the reception, and these were the first photos I saw that left me blown away when I first saw them. *swoon!* Isn’t Tas’s Melissa Sweet dress incredible?

I love them all, but if I had to pick a favorite one, I think the one below would be it. This is Ali Milner performing at their reception at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Kristel’s vision of the world is just so incredible!

Belen & Alex met and were married in Marbella, Spain. The location for their wedding was the stunning Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella, where they both would go in the summers with their families, whom both have another home in Marbella Spain and would vacation at this location … this is where they met. Such a perfect venue to start the next chapter of their lives.

They currently live in Madrid, Spain. Alex is an amateur photographer who has an amazing appreciation for art, as does Belen.

The video below is from their wedding and was created by the amazing and super talented Joel Serrato of Joel Serrato Films. Joel traveled to Spain to create a Super 8mm Film for Belen & Alex, capturing the beauty of their wedding day. Super 8 is perfect for this wedding, as it gives everything a vintage, timeless feel. Just incredible!

Be sure to also check out the scenic Holga shots that Joel captured while traveling in Spain, and if you’re up for it, you can also watch his Super 8mm Film of Plaza de Toros de Malaga (warning: he rated it PG-13)

Thank you Joel for sharing their wedding with us, and best wishes to Belen & Alex as the start this journey of their life together!
